Marvel’s Thor Love and Thunder star explains Valkyrie’s powers

Thor: Love and Thunder star Tessa Thompson has admitted that she finds her superhero’s powers “weird”.

During a recent interview with W Magazine, The Valkyrie actress was asked to detail the character’s particular set of skills prior to the fourth Thor the film’s release for next summer.

“She has strange skills, to be honest. She can feel when someone is close to death, and she takes them into Valhalla, which is basically the afterlife,” she said.

“She can revive people. But when she revives people, she sometimes ends up in their body.

“It’s a strange thing. It can be quite erotic. And then she has superhuman strength and is basically God.”

‘Erotic’ is not exactly a phrase we want to associate with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but then again, it’s Taika Waititi at the wheel of this movie – anything is possible.

Speaking of Waititi, the author-director previously revealed what differentiates Love and Thunder from 2017 Ragnarok: “It’s more crazy. I want to tell you what’s different: There will be far more emotion in this movie. And much more love. And much more thunder. And much more Thor, if you’ve seen the pictures.”

He went on to say, “We have five Oscar winners. And I include myself on that list. Me, Matt Damon, Russell [Crowe], Christian [Bale], Natalie [Portman]. “

Waititi repeats his lovable Kronan gladiator Korg via motion-capture, while Damon’s Asgardian Loki actor and Portman’s Jane Foster return. Crowe and Bale are completely newcomers [SPOILER!] in the form of Zeus and the villain Gorr the God Butcher.

Thor: Love and Thunder has a release date of July 8, 2022.
