If you think it’s windy today, just wait until tomorrow. A wind warning is in effect for North Texas from tonight at. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. An Arctic front will move through the night, moving our winds out north and returning winter to the area. Our winds will be maintained at 25-35 mph with gusts of 50 mph! That means it will be cold Saturday. The strong wind mixed with our dry conditions will create a high fire danger today and tomorrow.
So how cold will Saturday be? Well, some areas do not come out of the upper 30s, we will probably see high temperatures around 42 ° in DFW. But with the wind, it’s going to feel like the 20s and 30s all day.

As the system pulls out to the east, we could see some enveloping moisture. What does it mean? For many spots, it will just be an increase in cloud cover. But some areas, mostly east of Interstate-35 and north of Interstate-20, could see some snow showers! No impacts or accumulations are expected. So enjoy the beautiful snowflakes if a few fly your way.
It gets cold! The wind will have slowed down a bit from Saturday as the system moves away, but it will still feel like the 10s and low 20s.
If you’re heading to AT&T Stadium on Sunday, it’s going to be cool. Temperatures close to 50 with mostly sunny skies and relaxing winds to 5-15 mph. A beautiful MLK day ahead as we moderate to close to 60 with sunny skies. Even warmer for Tuesday, back to the 70s we go. But another Arctic front arrives at the end of the week.

Home Tip: We all know we need to let our faucets drip when it gets below freezing. But did you also know that eggshells can create blockages in your tubes ?! My parents just learned it the hard way. Then throw those eggshells in the trash, does not down into the waste bin.
