Girl, 9, missing from Blue Mountains: NSW police begin major search for Charlise Mutten disappears from Mt Wilson property

The disappearance of a nine-year-old girl from a property in the Blue Mountains has triggered a massive NSW police operation.

Charlise Mutten disappeared Thursday before she was reported missing around 8:20 a.m. Friday from a Mount Wilson property.

She is described as Caucasian.

Police do not know what clothes she was wearing when she disappeared.

Mount Wilson is located about 60 km northwest of Richmond.

Police have cordoned off the area and a command post has been set up near the property.

The local police have been joined by the police rescue and dog units.

Volunteer firefighters and State Emergency Service personnel also help search the ground.
