Veteran actress Lisa Bonet and her husband, actor Jason Momoa, have announced that they are divorcing after four years of marriage. The now former Hollywood couple shared the heartbreaking news earlier this week.
Bonet, best known for his role as the carefree big sister in the hit comedy film “The Cosby Show,” said in a joint statement sent to the “Aquaman” star page that, “We have all felt the pressure and the changes in these times of transformation … A revolution is unfolding and our family is no exception … feeling and growing from the seismic shifts that occur.”
Bonet and Momoa, who have been together since 2005 after being introduced to each other by mutual friends at a jazz club, noted that they shared the news with fans “not because we think it’s newsworthy, but to, while we going into our lives, we can do it with dignity and honesty. “
The actress, who is 54, and Moma, 42, still seem to be on good terms after the breakup, stating that “The love between us continues and develops in ways it wants to be known and lived. We free each other to be the ones we learn to be …. “
The former child star and action movie star shares two children: Lola, whom they welcomed in 2007, and their second child, Nakoa-Wolf, born in December 2008. The actress is also the mother of “Little Big Things” star Zoë Kravitz, whom she shares with her ex-husband and singer Lenny Kravitz.
Fans spared no time until they mentioned the “Fly Away” singer’s name after the news of the split, including a Twitter user who wrote: “Lenny Kravitz Bay ran after Lisa Bonet again.”
“After hearing that Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet are splitting up, we all hope that Lenny Kravitz will finally win her back again,” wrote another.
“My prayer is that Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz will remarry and that Jason Momoa will remarry them and serve as Lenny’s best man,” wrote a third user. “This is the only opportunity to make ALL of us happy … right?”
