We all know that Kardashians sit on a fortune from their reality show star status, partnerships and their related businesses. So why do they continue to resell their children’s clothes for profit instead of donating them to charity? That’s the big question posed to Khloé Kardashian, who tweeted that the latest round of outfits from daughter True Thompson’s closet has been uploaded to the Kardashian Kloset resale site.
“Omg, I miss seeing True in these outfits,” she wrote as she shared a link to the website. Trues’ old clothes available for sale are expensive (really EXPENSIVE) with a $ 150 Ralph Lauren jacket and a $ 99 Dolce & Gabbana rose-adorned tank top. All mothers know that their children’s clothes wear a lot and they grow so fast that most outfits are only worn for one season. This is where the mother team usually helps each other and passes the clothes on to a friend or family member once their child has grown out of them.

But the Kardashians make good money on their former (and often free) wardrobe, which comes with a lot of conditions: “All sales are final. No return, exchange, refund or cancellation,” according to their website. And that was when tweets came pouring in during Khloé’s tweet. “Who would pay so much for children’s clothes let alone used?” wrote a user. “Who cares about brand names. So disgusted when this clothing could be donated to people in need.” Another social media account divided, “Why should everything they do be about $$$$$ ???”
The Kardashian Kloset website does not specify whether any of the profits from the sale go to charity, but it may make some of their fans feel better about shopping with them. Khloé has not responded to any of the criticism, but she is not the only family member selling goods there – the whole family should be held accountable in this situation.
