Marvel reveals the Hulk’s deadliest evil form ever

Marvel revealed more details about its new evil version of the Hulk and dubbed it “the deadliest Hulk in Marvel’s history.” A special teaser variant cover for Hulk # 6 by series artist Ryan Ottley provides a new insight into the character known only as Titan. With a name like that, it’s only fair that this Hulk transformation becomes its greatest, as the word “Titan” is typically reserved for giant monsters like Godzilla and King Kong. Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley launched a new volume of Hulk near the end of 2021, when Bruce Banner transformed his gamma-driven alter ego into the Starship Hulk.

“The heroes of the Marvel universe may think the Hulk is the problem, but he is not – THIS is the problem,” teased editor Wil Moss. “And after Hulk # 6, there’s no stopping it … “The variant cover features Bruce Banner, Hulk and Titan with the phrase” From Man … To Monster … To Titan. “

Titan certainly does not look like any of the Hulk’s earlier forms. Immortal Hulk by Al Ewing and Joe Bennett introduced many different iterations of Jade Giant, but nothing like this. Titan’s skin is without bright colors, and red energy radiates from its eyes and oversized mouth. Titanium also lacks its nose, with a hole opening where it should be. Marvel wisely keeps Titan’s actual size a secret by focusing on a close-up of its face.

Bruce Banner went through something traumatic in El Paso, TX, sometime between the end of Immortal Hulk and the beginning of Cates and Ottleys Hulk. This event remains a mystery, but it feeds this first story arc in “Smashtronaut”.

“Something happened in El Paso. Between the end of Al’s race and the beginning of mine, something happened that obviously had a profound effect on Bruce,” Cates told last year. “It’s something he can not shake off. And for lack of a better expression, he just flees from this sin as opposed to embracing it and working on it and working on himself. And then there’s a lot of psychology in it. here by him, suppressed anger. He literally put his rage, he has buried it deep down in his stomach. The ship’s belly is Hulk’s rage, and he just catches it down there. “

Ryan Ottley’s head cover to Hulk # 6 shows Titan’s massive claw extending out of the Hulk’s back as if trying to escape captivity. The same red energy also crackles in the air around the claw. Hulk # 6 goes on sale on April 20, with dealer orders due before March 21.
