The Mandalorian is the most-watched series on Disney +, with the highest total viewing time of all the other Star Wars and Marvel shows on the service.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, The Mandalorian leads on Disney + in terms of viewing time, with about 58% of the show’s total watch time coming from the original run of its second season in 2021, amounting to 14.52 billion total minutes watched. Of those total minutes, Season 2 earned 8.4 billion.

In general, Disney +’s Star Wars and Marvel series dominate the viewership for the streaming service, more so than its other original series, such as High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Big Shot spirit The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. At the time of writing, Disney + only houses two live-action shows from Lucasfilm, The Mandalorian spirit The Book of Boba Fettand four complete shows from Marvel Studios, WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki spirit Hawkeye. Moon Knight only recently premiered its first episode on March 30.
Those six shows have a combined total of 36 billion minutes viewed, a number that accrued when these shows originally aired, with The Mandalorian making up the bulk of that viewing time. When Disney + first launched in November 2019, and The Mandalorian with it, the streaming service had gained 26.5 million subscribers worldwide. The first live-action Star Wars series gained 1.15 billion overall minutes viewed during its seven-week run, and an additional 800 million minutes in the week following its season finale.
As for Marvel Studios, Loki remains the most-viewed Marvel series to date and the first Marvel series to exceed 1 billion minutes in one week, amassing 5.23 billion viewership minutes overall. It also had the highest average viewing time out of all of the Marvel and Star Wars shows on Disney + so far, averaging about 872 million minutes an episode. The season finale of Loki itself topped previous viewership figures for WandaVision spirit The Falcon and the Winter Soldier after it was viewed by 1.9 million domestic households in the week it premiered.
Following Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier averaged 692 million minutes per episode, earning 4.15 billion minutes total, which puts it ahead of the average viewership for The Mandalorian Season 1 (677.5 million per episode). Hawkeye, the most recently completed Marvel series, raked in a total of 3.46 billion minutes when it originally aired, giving it the smallest viewing time out of all the Marvel Studios series on Disney +. As for the other live-action Star Wars series on the service, numbers for The Book of Boba Fett grew steadily during its original seven-episode run, drawing 4.4 billion viewership minutes overall. This is in line with previous reports that viewership for Boba Fett grew week to week.
Aside from Moon Knight, which recently began its six-episode run, the next upcoming Marvel series is Ms. Marvel on June 8. Obi-Wan KenobiDisney +’s next live-action Star Wars series, will premiere a few weeks prior on May 25.
