WandaVision star and Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran Paul Bettany believes he may return to the role of The Vision at some point in the future.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bettany initially joked about not reprising the role “for any kind of money at all” when asked about Vision before answering the question more seriously. “No, the honest answer to that is – well maybe it’s not the honest answer, but it’s the answer I’m going to give you and you’ll just have to cope with it – at the end of WandaVisionyou see Vision fly off and that’s a loose end, “he said.” And [Marvel Studios President/Marvel CCO] Kevin Feige is a man who does not really allow loose ends. So I assume at some point I will be putting on my tights and cloak for another outing, but I do not know when that might be. “

Bettany recently played coy as to whether he would be in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswhich sees his WandaVision co-star Elizabeth Olsen reprises her role of Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch. “You’re asking … am I in Doctor Strange 2? “Bettany asked on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. I do not know. Am I? I can neither confirm nor deny rumors that I am in said and aforementioned Doctor Strange 2. “Bettany also discussed his own plans for the character of White Vision, saying he has” thoughts about what would be great to do, “but opted not to risk spoiling them by revealing what they were.

As for White Vision, WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer discussed why his fate was never shown in the Disney + limited series’ finale. “He’s not [Wanda’s] guy, “she explained.” That’s not the man that she had children with. That’s not the one who’s been in the sitcom world with him. That’s not the one that she said goodbye to on a hill in Wakanda. That’s the body and the data. So for the purposes of me and my job on the show, and what I focus on, where he ends up is an afterthought to the story proper. “

WandaVision will lead into Multiverse of Madness, with Olsen noting the movie would not make sense without it. However, WandaVision will not be gaining a second season, as confirmed by Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab, though it will generate an Agatha Harkness-centric spinoff called Agatha: House of Harknesswhich sees actor Kathryn Hahn return to the role of Agatha Harkness.

WandaVision is streaming on Disney +.
