Carol Ades is passionate about Jonas

Carol Ades is passionate about Jonas: Singer and songwriter Carol Ades told us about her manic Jonas Brothers experience.

Carol Ades: I have embarrassingly not been to many shows and all my friends make fun of me for it, so it’s actually pretty hard to pick the best concert I’ve ever seen. But if I had to pick one, then the summer of 2019 Jonas Brødrene on their arena tour in Miami.

I was there writing for their next album and all the writers had to go to the show and me and my friend Kennedy were childhood superfans so we were obviously losing our shit. As a background story, for the past five years I have been writing songs with and for other pop artists, so I had been working up to this moment for years. When I was asked to go to a writing camp in Miami for the Jonas Brothers, it was possibly the best day of my life.

I called my mom and I said, “Mom, I did it. I have to write with Jonas Brothers.” The writing camp was a week long and we got to see the show the fourth night. I sang “Year 3000” so loud that I did not have a voice for 4 days. When “Burnin ‘Up” came out, I was suddenly 13 years old again and therefore needed to kiss Joe Jonas on the mouth. I grew up in the middle of the era of the Hannah Montana / Jonas brothers, so it was such a full circle to be there for the show and work with them. It was such a fever dream and I do not think any other concert experience could ever beat it.

Carol Ades is passionate about Jonas: Carol Ades’ through The EP and “Can’t Say No” single are out now.
