Chicago Sky vs. Minnesota Lynx (-2.5)
Big news for this game: Chicago’s Candace Parker is out with an ankle sprain and that’s changing a lot for Sky.
When Chicago is without Parker, they are 1-7 against 7-4 with her.
In the first game without Parker, Chicago won, but then lost seven straight until she returned.
Since the game resumed after the Olympic break, Chicago went 1-1 with a two-point OT win and four-point regulatory loss. This one should be close too.
Minnesota went on a seven-game winning streak before the Olympics break and came out with an eighth win in a row before falling two in a row to the Connecticut Sun.
The Sun are one of the top three teams that prefer to win the WNBA title, so no surprise with back-to-back losses there.
Chicago handled Minnesota 106-89 in the first meeting on June 15, but those are two different teams. Parker also scored 12 points and took seven rebounds in 27 minutes of the 16-point victory for Sky.
This game opened in Chicago’s favor before the news broke about Parker’s injury and moved the spread to Minnesota -2.5 PointsBet.

Following Chicago’s previous losses, their head coach James Wade said in a postgame conference: “We expect to do that [have a different starting five] to the next game, ”said Wade. “We’ve given our lineup a chance in the last two games and I really don’t like the slow starts.”
Although the lineup is not official yet, we know Parker is out, which does not help. For a team that sits at 11-11 with 10 games left, a lineup change and an injury to the best players (1-7 without her) – the outlook does not look positive.
Minnesota has won eight of the last 10 games and against Chicago they won both last season’s meetings and all three in 2019. This season’s 16-point loss was Minnesota’s first since 2018 to Chicago.
I want to back Lynx on the road, where they won five in a row before losing two in Connecticut. After that, they are home again, so it is crucial to take advantage of a road game without Parker.
Edge: Minnesota Lynx ML
