COMPENSATION RANGE: $45,000 – $48,000

* Bachelor’s

* 1-2 years of copywriting, content development, or other relevant experience in an agency, media publication, or internal
marketing department

* Proven ability to effectively tell stories and write content-based material

* Ability to effectively
manage priorities and multiple projects at one time while meeting assigned deadlines

* Deadline-driven, organized, and has a strong
attention to detail

* Highly self-motivated

* Experience managing multiple social media accounts

* Proficient use of
computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite Programs)


* Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related

* 2-3 years of copywriting, content development, or other relevant experience in an agency, media publication, or internal
marketing department

* Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and SEO-friendly content

* Knowledge of Social Media reporting
and publishing tools

* Proven ability to maintain relationships with internal and external agencies and resources

* Up-to-date
knowledge on Social Media algorithms and changes

* Knowledge of Word Press, basic HTML, and ability to work within a website content
management system

* Knowledgeable in Google Analytics

* Has a high interest in KPIs and metrics and values data-informed

* Knowledge in WCAG 2.1 web accessibility guidelines


The purpose of
this position is to support the goals of the institution and marketing department through on-brand, honest messaging of the College’s
activities and support the marketing department in the implementation of a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the over-all
institutional marketing strategy. The incumbent in this position is tasked with writing compelling, SEO-optimized copy for blogs, websites,
landing pages, and social media. This role will be key in evolving NPRC’s brand, ensuring voice consistency across channels, and
coming up with new ways to tell the stories of NPRC’s students, faculty, and staff.

This position will support all departments
with website content and social media requests and be the lead writer for all internal content development and project-based writing by the
marketing department. Secondary support will be provided for the maintenance of content on the College’s Intranet resource for
internal employees.


  • Understand grammar rules and be mindful of flow, readability,
    and sentence variety
  • Write brand content for email campaigns, home page, landing page, advertising, internal web pages, social
    media feeds, blog posts, radio and television scripts, and other marketing initiatives
  • Support writing needs for projects across
    the institution, i.e. President’s newsletter, marketing collateral, fundraising materials, etc.
  • Write new web page copy for
    purposes including, but not limited to, compliance, information, or program launches
  • Support the development and maintenance of
    content and editorial calendars
  • Support the development and implementation of relevant standard operating procedures for requested
    copywriting and content development projects
  • Stay up to date on the latest best practices in content marketing and work with the
    respective marketing partners to implement
  • Use target keywords to write search engine optimized copy that while remaining
    informative and creative
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative team to conceptualize and execute campaigns and projects as
  • Distribute content to a variety of media outlets, to include social media
  • Develop organic social media content that
    aligns with NPRC’s strategic marketing plan and brand
  • Update and maintain relevant content on the College’s Intranet
    when requested
  • Manage all college-related social media channels
  • Analyze website content and perform updates to existing
    content annually and as requested
  • Be aware of content performance and apply learnings to future content development and
  • Review competitor websites to compare their activities with those of NPRC’s
  • Proofread and edit content
    before execution and delivery to respective parties

  • Office Location: Within NPRC’s footprint and to be determined based
    on location of selected candidate
  • Work hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Friday
  • Notwithstanding the office hours, all full-time salaried employees are expected to work 40 hours weekly


Infrequent travel required.
