LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A suspect behind the wheel of a stolen car led the authorities on a long and dangerous hunt across Southern Norway on Friday.

The pursuit of the stolen vehicle began before 12:30 p.m. in Exposition Park.
With Los Angeles police officers pursuing the chase, the chase wound its way into downtown LA and then East LA before crossing the surface streets of Commerce.
The suspect then jumped on the southbound 5 Freeway and went south into Norwalk and Anaheim.

A little after kl. 13.00 the suspect pulled a U-turn and started driving the wrong way on the southbound side of 5 Freeway.
The suspect then stopped on the southbound side of 5 Freeway near Artesia Boulevard in Buena Park. Traffic was stopped on both sides of the highway.
But around 1.20pm, the suspect started moving again and continued to travel the wrong way on the southbound side of the highway. The driver left the highway and entered the surface streets of Buena Park.
LAPD officers tried to perform PIT maneuvers several times, but were unsuccessful. The suspect came slowly down Beach Boulevard in Buena Park.
