DC Comics has just revived a surprise villain in a disgusting new form

Task Force Z has just received a new team member as a surprising villain reappears in a horrific way in the latest issue of the series.

Warning! Spoilers for Task Force Z # 2 by DC Comics

Red Hood’s undead team of supervillains has just recruited a surprising new member who Deadshot has been resurrected in a frightening new form. IN Task Force Z # 2, Jason Todd’s team is told they’re getting a new member, but after discovering it’s the newly killed Deadshot, the resurrected villain shoots the anti-hero, leaving the team in a state of disorder.

In one of the more shocking deaths in recent DC Comics history, Black Mask murdered Deadshot by shooting him in the chest and kicking him down from a skyscraper under Tom Taylor, Bruno Redondo and Adriano Lucas’ Suicide Squad race. Deadshot’s death surprised readers when he became a key leader in the series, trying to clear his name and leave the suicide squad forever. But like almost all cartoon characters not named Uncle Ben, Deadshot’s death was not permanent. But instead of coming back as his usual self, the sharpshooter was brought back as an undead monster.

IN Task Force Z # 2 by Matthew Rosenberg, Eddy Barrows, Eber Ferreira and Adriano Lucas, Jason Todd completes his latest mission and is told that his undead team with Bane, Man-Bat, Arkham Knight and Mr. Bloom adds a new member. On a mission with Dr. Shelley fights Task Force Z with the Cobra cult, leading them to the coffin of their latest recruit – a very dead one, Deadshot. Frustrated with the rescue mission, Jason tells his Task Force Z commander that he’s coming after them and they “need to have a little talk.” Before he can end the conversation, however, a loud bang sounds. Jason falls to his knees as he looks down at a gunshot wound to the chest. Meanwhile, an undead Deadshot with smoke from the arms of his hand emerges from the coffin behind him.

Deadshot DC Comics revived

Seeing Deadshot return is a fine follow – up to his death in Suicide Squad. But this is not the same Deadshot readers so last, as he has become an undead villain brought back to life by the unpredictable Lazarus resin. Floyd Lawton’s rough, partial skull is visible, and his undead features make him look more like Frankenstein than a human. There is no telling how the resin otherwise affected Deadshot.

Adding a member of Deadshot’s skills to Task Force Z should help Jason Todd in the long run, but in the short term, he just took a potentially deadly bullet from his newest team member. So it’s not the best start to the two characters’ new twisted relationship. Readers can see the new Deadshot back in action as Task Force Z # 2 of DC Comics is in comic book stores now.
