Job Description
Coordinate academic advising efforts on campus
for the College of Business to include training of faculty advisors and the Unit Academic Advisor. Perform undergraduate graduation
clearance for College of Business students which includes conducting senior transcript reviews and maintaining an alumni database. Assist
faculty advisement by providing records, evaluations, interpretations, and other relevant data, recommendations, and conclusions. Prepare
and disseminate annual statistical data reports to include grade distributions student major classifications, and graduation numbers.
Respond to student inquiries and resolve issues related to curriculum, course equivalency, course substitutions, course prerequisites, and
credit by examinations. Collaborate with other staff in the Student Success Center and Academic Affairs to develop programs to assist in
student retention and matriculation. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Education: Requires a Bachelors’ degree in Business, Education, Counseling or a related field of
study. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience: Requires one year of higher education experience, one year of supervisory
experience and three years of student advisement.

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a criminal background check
as mandated by Tennessee State University.
