ComingSoon debuts the exclusive trailer for the comedy drama Butter for National Bullying Prevention Month, starring newcomer Alex Kersting. Based on the book by Erin Jade Lange, the film will premiere in theaters on February 25, 2022 from Blue Fox Entertainment.

“Butter (Kersting) is a smart, funny high school junior who happens to be overweight,” reads the official synopsis. “But he secretly becomes friends with the most beautiful girl in school via social media by pretending to be a jock from another school. While Butter struggles with bullying and self-esteem at school, he plans an incredible stunt on social media that will risk his life but gain him attention and popularity — but as the day approaches, can he really cope? ”
