Advance UNO’s relationships
with Nebraska’s Congressional delegation, Congressional staff, federal funding agencies, and federal government officials by serving as a
liaison between UNO, Members of Congress and staff, and federal agencies. Represent UNO on the University of Nebraska Federal Relations team
and interact on behalf of UNO with the University of Nebraska federal relations lobbying firm in Washington,
Coordinate UNO activities and funding requests with the University of Nebraska Office of the President, specifically
the University of Nebraska Director of Federal Relations and the University of Nebraska Vice President for External Relations. Work with the
University of Nebraska Office of the President and University of Nebraska Federal Relations team to promote UNO’s research growth and policy
agenda with federal agencies and Members of Congress.
Required Experience: 5 years’ experience in federal or state government relations or public policy, experience
working with federal legislative issues to advance strategic objectives, ability to responsibly manage confidential or sensitive
information; and flexibility, tact and diplomacy to build cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of people.

Preferred Education: Master’s Degree
Preferred Experience: Work with elected officials
or their staff, executive branch staff, or federal agency staff.
