Spider-Man: No Way Home comes up a month since its release, so many of the film’s secrets are beginning to be discussed by those who spent months saying they were not involved in the film. Andrew Garfield has said lying about his role in the film was “stressful” yet “Strangely entertaining” and now he can talk freely about it. One thing Garfield has revealed is that he and other Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire, actually snuck into the cinemas on the opening night of Spider-Man: No Way Home to see fans’ reactions.
During an interview with ET, Garfield said, “I still can not believe it happened. I snuck into a theater on the opening night and just watched with my baseball cap on and my mask on.” Garfield went on to say, “I was with Tobey too, Tobey and I snuck into a theater together and no one knew we were there. It was just a really beautiful thing to share. And also to find a brotherhood with Tobey and with Tom [Holland], and the fact that we share a very unique experience. ”
The audience reactions to their first experience during my show were through the roof, and some fans have posted videos of their audience reactions on Twitter and Instagram, which also showed intense excitement by witnessing their return. If the reactions were anything like the ones Garfield and Maguire witnessed, I’m sure they should be on cloud nine by the time the movie was over.
I also think it was a good experience for them as they did not really get involved in the film’s red carpet premiere as their involvement was still supposed to be a secret. This fan experience was probably more pleasing to both actors as the fan reaction was unforced and completely genuine.
How were YOUR audience reactions when Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire showed up Spider-Man: No Way Home?
