Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader arrives in Ahsoka Show Fan poster

Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader arrives in a new fan poster for the Disney + Star Wars spinoff show, Ahsoka.

Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader arrives in a new fan poster for the Disney + Star Wars spinoff show, Ahsoka. Disney +’s first live-action series set in a galaxy far, far away, Jon Favreau and Dave Filonis The Mandalorian, went to admirable length by connecting the films with the animated series. E.g, The Mandalorian season 2 introduced Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels‘Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) – the former Padawan teacher of Anakin Skywalker, who will soon have his own live-action series.

The success of The Mandalorian has resulted in a host of upcoming Star wars TV shows, including The book about Boba Fett, Andor, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The latter series takes place eight years later Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and follow Obi-Wan / Ben Kenobi during his time at Tatooine. Ewan McGregor will repeat his role as the iconic Jedi Master, with his once Padawan Hayden Christensen returning in the roles of presumably Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader. That being said, it was recently announced that Christensen will also be performing in Ahsoka.

The famous artist Bosslogic recently posted some art on Instagram showing Christensen Anakin / Darth Vader’s arrival in the upcoming Ahsoka series. The play serves as a poster for the show, with the titular Togruta swinging its lightsabers as TIE fighters and a star-destroyer approach. Check it out below:

The last audience saw Ahsoka in The Mandalorian, it was revealed that she is on the hunt for the Grand Admiral Thrawn and in turn is looking for Ezra Bridger. Ahsoka is said to take place five years after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Last time Ahsoka saw Darth Vader in Rebels, the couple dueled. When Darth Vader died at the end of episode VI, it is unclear exactly how Christensen will play into the series. Presumably, Anakin / Darth Vader will appear via flashbacks / visions or as a Force Ghost – which opens the door for a performance of McGregor as Obi-Wan.

Prior to the release of the Disney sequel trilogy, George Lucas’ prequels and Christensen’s performance were widely criticized. Viewers have since been warmed up by his portrayal and were delighted just to hear his voice in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. That Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka shows give both Christensen and the audience a second chance to embrace the character of Anakin Skywalker while offering ending for everyone involved. It will be interesting to see how the live-action shows further bridge the gap between the animations and live-action, especially in terms of “Snips” and “Skyguy.”
