Are there others ready for 2022? Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest becomes the biggest party of the year and marks the 50th anniversary of the annual tradition.

This year’s celebration will feature several venues. Ryan Seacrest will be joined by first-time cohost Liza Koshy in New York, while Ciara returns to host the Los Angeles party with D-Nice DJing of the event. Billy Porter will both co-host and perform from the New Orleans stage.

“As we prepare to leave 2021 and look forward to the promising year ahead, we are so excited to work with the MRC to celebrate this significant anniversary of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2022, “ABC Director Rob Mills said in a statement. “This show has solidified its place in TV history as New Year’s Eve special, and the coming 50th year will be an event not to be missed by the biggest names in entertainment.”

For the first time ever, the show will also be broadcast from San Juan, Puerto Rico with actress Roselyn Sanchez led the event’s first Spanish-language countdown ever.

“The specialty strengthens Puerto Rico’s own monumental year as the capital San Juan celebrates its 500th anniversary and continues its world-famous lively holiday season,” ABC said in a statement. “It’s a time of year that vividly reflects the island’s vibrant culture, food, dance and music through local festivals and festivities.”

The show starts on ABC at 20.00 ET on ABC and includes hours of live music from around the world.

Times Square artists include Chløe, Karol G and Trip, mens Daddy Yankee will occupy the stage in Puerto Rico. I LA, AJR and Daisy the Store, Avril Lavigne with Travis Barker, Store Bois and Sleepy brown, Don Omar and Nio Garcia, Ryan Lewis and Macklemore, There’s a Muller and Polo G, Walker Hayes, A republic, Masked wolf, Moonlight and French Montana will all perform.

LL Cool J was also scheduled to perform at the Big Apple, but announced he was retiring on Wednesday, Dec. 29, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I know it’s disappointing for the millions of fans, but my test came back positive for COVID, which means I will no longer be able to perform as planned at NYRE,” NCIS: Los Angeles Star, 53, said in a statement at the time. “We were ready, and I was really looking forward to calling into 2022 in my hometown in a special way, but so far I wish everyone a healthy and happy new year. Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2022 will be broadcast on ABC on Friday 31 December at 20.00 ET.
