Position Information

As a member of the
Information Technology Services (ITS) Project Management Office, this position will act as a Technical Project Manager under the general
direction of management and will utilize standard project management practices and tools in the delivery of technical projects. This
position is responsible to steward the delivery of projects, including the development of project scope, schedules, and budget. Oversees the
project from initiation through delivery, and is responsible for securing the necessary project team resources, identification/management of
key issues/risks (removal of roadblocks) and status reporting. Additionally, this PM will collaborate with other Project Managers within the
ITS to develop project management best practice/standards, templates and processes.

This position is classified as a two year
contract position with the possibility of converting to a permanent career position should funding become available in the future. In
addition, the position is classified as remote with occasional visits to campus as necessary. Working hours will be based on Pacific
Standard Time (PST). The maximum annual budgeted salary for this position is $104,600.

As a condition of employment, you will be
required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the
policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability,
and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California
employees, the applicable deadline is eight weeks after their first date of employment.

      arguments.
    4. Broad knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such
      initiatives.
    5. Familiarity with basic IT concepts such as servers, networking, databases and applications.
    6. Demonstrated
      effective writing skills.
    7. Effective skill at tracking effort and project progress.
    8. Demonstrated advanced organization and
      project management skills.
    9. Requires ability to assess campus, medical center or Office of the President needs for information
      technology products and design services to meet those needs.
    10. Knowledge of most aspects of computing and communications including
      hardware infrastructure, networking, software, operations and disaster recovery.
    11. Requires effective communication and organization
      skills.
    12. Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies.
    13. Demonstrated ability to influence large
      medium to large teams and ensure projects stay on track.
    14. Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of
      impact to the organization of such initiatives.
    15. Requires basic knowledge of project management principles, theories, and
      concepts.
    16. Demonstrated competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and
      techniques.
