It led to a hectic finish. After Will Barton’s run layup with 26 seconds left in regulation made it a draw for the Nuggets, the Clippers could not get a shot off until the clock of 24 seconds expired. But Jokic’s fadeaway by the buzzer was a hot air balloon.

Jokic got an assist from his coach that may have kept him around until the end.

Dozier, a career 41.3% 3-point shooter, will provide Denver with needed outdoor shooting. He could play already on Friday.

The Nuggets needed him in the second quarter as their insulted bench lay on the floor at the start of the Clippers’ 21-2 run. The sprint continued as the starters returned as Jokic missed his first six shots of the period before his team cut it to 59-47 at the break.

The Clippers frustrated Jokic last week with constant doubles. This time, Zubac went against him defensively and hit 15 out of 19 shots.
