“It was packed together when the forensic auditor testified during the trial about OSC (to show cause) for temporary spouse and child support,” says a source exclusively U.S of Clarkson’s funds after it was determined that she should pay Blackstock nearly $ 200,000 in support a month.

U.S previously confirmed that “Piece by Piece” singing stress has been required to pay her ex $ 150,000 per. month in spousal support and $ 45,601 $ per. month in child support since April. (While Clarkson previously asked the court to block spouse support, Blackstock raised $ 436,000 a month – $ 301,000 in spousal support and $ 135,000 in child support – from his ex.) The couple shares daughter, River, 7, and son Remington, 5.

However, according to the source, the former couple have not reached a “formal solution” as they work to finalize their divorce. “It’s expected to happen soon,” the insider says, adding that a judge is expected to declare Clarkson and Blackstock legally single in “a few days.”

The source adds that twosome’s “prenup is not disputed despite reports.”

Clarkson and Blackstock split in June 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage. As she continues to film season 2 of Kelly Clarkson Show, the source notes, “Kelly is renegotiating his talk show contract and wants a significant increase.”

Earlier this month, Clarkson and her lawyer filed a motion for a separate lawsuit to declare her legally single. In the documents obtained by U.S at the time, the “Breakaway” singer claimed she “has made good faith efforts to settle”, while Blackstock and his lawyers “do not intend to reach a global solution to this case soon.”

“Incompatible differences have existed and continue to exist between [Brandon] and me who has caused our marriage to irreversibly collapse, ”Clarkson wrote in the documents. “No counseling or reconciliation effort has any value at present. There are no prejudices for [Brandon] if our marriage is dissolved immediately. I have been trying to reach a global solution to this issue with [Brandon] since I led to divorce in June 2020. [Brandon] and I both deserve the opportunity to build a new life. Therefore, I ask that my request for redistribution and termination of marital status be granted. ”
