Kelly Rizzo mourns the loss of her husband Bob Saget, who died at the age of 65 on January 9, and she shares her grief with Hoda Kotb in “Today”.
On Wednesday, “Today” offered a sneak peek at Kotb’s interview with Rizzo, her first since The Death of the Case, aired Thursday, January 20th.

In the clip, Kotb asks her how her late husband was “when there was no audience? When there was no one nearby, no one to make you laugh, how was that guy?”
“It was still the same. He was there just to enjoy life,” Rizzo replies.

“And he just wanted to make people feel comfortable. I mean, if we went to a restaurant, he would talk to all the waiters, the waitresses. He knew all the hosts. Everyone knew him and loved him, ”she continued.
“And his constant message was ‘treat everyone with kindness’ because he had been through so much in his life and he knew how hard life could be. So he was always just so kind and loving to everyone. He was just that best man I have ever known in my life. He was just so kind and so wonderful and everyone who was in his life knew it. And even anyone who just happened to meet him thought, “Wow, that is a special guy. “
