Kevin Feige says “Never Say Never” about Marvel & DC Crossover

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, says fans “should never say never” about a potential Marvel and DC crossover project in the future.

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, recently suggested that there is a possibility of one crossover between Marvel and DC. This may come as a surprise to fans of one or both franchises. Marvel has apparently consistently pushed quality movies out ever since the original Iron Man released in 2008, whereas DC and Warner Bros. have approached their common universe in a different way. Both companies have had recent successes where Marvel Studios has released Black widow in July, and DC / WB had released The suicide group just a few weeks ago on August 6th.

A crossover between the two giants of the comic industry would be one for the times. Fans have wanted to see some sort of connection between the two for a while now, but there would be a lot that needed to take place for that to happen. Marvel Studios has been build their own cinematic universe since Iron Man, and it’s been a massive money maker for them and Disney. This has proven to be very successful for them, so they too can get a splash on Disney + themselves. Meanwhile, DC has built on their own kind of cinematic universe and has movies that cross each other while making stories from Elseworlds, such as. Joker.

Now Kevin Feige has discussed the possibility of a DC and Marvel crossover. Speaks in an interview with ComicBook.com, Feige was asked about this fan favorite topic, and in typical Marvel Studios fashion, he said a lot while she said nothing at all. See his quote below:

“Well, look, my standard answer to things is ‘never say never’. I never thought we would get this far. James has not brought it up, James is deep inside Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will start recording before the end of this year. After finishing the spectacular The suicide group and selling that film, he is well on his way to preparing Guardians 3. “

Marvel DC Crossover

Feige is notorious for saying very little about projects involving MCU and other potential crossovers, so it’s no surprise he has not said much about this one. There would be a lot of logistics that would go into this type of crossover between Marvel Studios and Warner Bros./DC, so that could be a factor why it could not happen / has not happened yet. This conversation was triggered due to a recent comment from James Gunn in which he mentioned wanting to see one Harley Quinn and Groot crossover.

Although Feige did not reveal much in his quote, at least he did not rule anything out. It’s also encouraging that Feige is clearly aware that fans and even James Gunn would love to see it happen. It hasn’t been much of an option for years now, so fans shouldn’t get the hope up too much. Both Marvel Studios and DC / WB have exciting projects in the future to look forward to in the meantime.
