A man wanted for a felony was shot dead early Friday by Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies and other officers after being allegedly hit by patrol vehicles in Beaumont, officials said.
The incident unfolded around 10pm on Thursday as Perris station deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 17,000-block Ridge Canyon Drive in the unincorporated community of Woodcrest. The man was not found at the scene, but deputies learned he had a felony charge for violating an assault with a lethal weapon, domestic violence, kidnapping, vandalism and a violation of household instance, according to news from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
