M. Night Shyamalan’s next thriller gets a title

Back in 2019, Universal announced that they would release the next two thrillers from M. Night Shyamalan. The first was scheduled to reach cinemas on February 26, 2021. It turned out to be Old (see it HERE), which was first released on 23 July 2021 due to the pandemic. The second thriller was scheduled for theatrical release on February 17, 2023, and that plan has also changed – but for the better. It has been pushed up to two more weeks February 3 at 2023, and the title has also been revealed. Shyamalan’s next thriller is called Knock on the cabin.

Shyamalan promoted the film and its new release date with this tweet:

Of course no details on the plot of Knock on the cabin has been shared. They like to keep things secret when it comes to Shyamalan projects. But the title is intriguing and suggests we’re going to see something that begins with a spooky knock on the door of an insulated cabin. I’m all for a “hut in the woods” movie from Shyamalan.

A few months ago, Shyamalan said he was on the third draft of the manuscript, and it was “super tight,” under 100 pages.

According to Deadline, Knock on the cabin moved its release date because sticking to February 17 would have set it up against the Disney / Marvel movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. You will not be on the road to a little Paul Rudd.

There are M. Night Shyamalan movies I like and some I really do not, but I always give everything he gives a chance. I want to look at Knock on the cabin in 2023. Are you a fan of Shyamalan? Tell us what you think about his film by leaving a comment below.
