Mariah Carey shuts down to talk about Nick Cannon’s other kids vacationing with her

Pretty much everyone knows that Mariah Carey is the queen of Christmas, and as that time of year approaches, Carey is ready for the festivities.

Carey has two twin children, Monroe and Moroccan, who she is taking with her on vacation. But this year, seen as her ex-husband and father of her children, Nick Cannon, has welcomed four new children with three different women, fans would like to know if Carey would allow the other children to get involved.

Carey spoke to “Entertainment Tonight” when asked if her “stepchildren” would be celebrating Christmas the Mariah Carey way. The 51-year-old diva responded quickly by turning her hair back and saying, “Is that a step? I do not think it’s a step. If you are not married to the person.” She answered the original question more directly and said, “I do not know. It’s a different type of interview for you.”

“It’s always the classic shade for me,” said one responding fan. Another added, “I mean, one thing Mariah needs to do is tell the truth. She said steps? !! Because the WHO got married.” Another wrote, “In other words, it’s not my kids, and it’s a hell of a no!”

In part of her interview, Carey talked about her memoir “The Meaning of Mariah Carey,” explaining that she wrote about some “depressing things” she experienced when it comes to Christmas. Carey said, however, that the experience “motivated me to really go all the way every Christmas, every year, and I just want my kids to have the best time.”

“Honestly, it’s like, a lot of it is for me,” she said with a laugh.

As for Cannon, his vacation is getting busy with seven kids now. “Holidays are scary for me. I’m literally going to be Santa Claus. Christmas Eve. I’m jumping in my sleigh and I’m coming across the country,” he told Entertainment Tonight two weeks ago.

The “Shake It Off” singer and Cannon, who hosts “Wild ‘N Out,” were married for eight years from 2008 to 2016. None of them have remarried since they divorced.
