‘It’s the season to be happy, especially with the release of a new Marvel Studios show on Disney +.

We’ve already seen the release of Marvel’s WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loke, and the animated series What if…?, and now Hawkeye has dropped its first two episodes on Disney’s streaming service.

And if you’re a fan of cheesy, romantic Hallmark Christmas movies, then you should have a holiday experience.

Today marks the premiere of MCU’s next Disney + Original series, Hawkeye, starring Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton / Hawkeye) and Hailee Steinfeld (Kate Bishop), who sees Clint fight for the sake of survivors in New York City about two years after the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019).

Just in time for the holiday season, the TV series gets into the Christmas mood as archers have to confront enemies like Ronin from Clint Barton’s past to get back to her family in time for Christmas.

Hawkeye author Jonathan Igla revealed in an interview that Marvel Studios actually used Hallmark Christmas movies as inspiration for the show.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Igla explained:

“I could not say they did not inform Christmas about the show, a little bit. Just as these movies are comforting, I read those comics so many times. There was something that was comforting and relaxing about it. To turn it off for today’s stress and try to disconnect from work. “

The Hawkeye lead author used to be a history editor at crazy men, as well as executive producer for Netflix’s popular series Bridgerton starring Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor.

The six-episode Disney + series starring Jeremy Renner takes place the week before Christmas, giving Marvel Studios its first Christmas-themed story since Robert Downey Jr. Iron Man 3 (2013).

During a press conference in November for MCUs Hawkeye, Kevin Feige finally confirmed that he is considering Iron Man 3 a Christmas movie and shared details about another Marvel Christmas-themed project, the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

Hawkeye and Kate Bishop are now performing on Avenger’s Campus in Disney’s California Adventure, with a special stunt show on certain days at the Disneyland theme park during the holidays.

We wonder what Hallmark Christmas movies the Marvel team saw for their inspiration, and whether we will see any references in the Disney + show.
