Marvel’s Moon Knight debuts with a powerful first poster

Disney + is releasing a brand new poster for its upcoming Moon Knight series featuring the titular hero holding a blade covered in blood.

Disney + has released a brand new poster for the upcoming Marvel Studios series Knights of the Moon just hours before the debut of the show’s first official trailer, the playoff edition of Monday Night Football.

Published on the official Knights of the Moon Twitter the report shows the poster what appears to be the arm and hand of Oscar Issac’s Marc Spector grabbing an ornate Crescent darts, which is known in Knights of the Moon comics as the preferred weapon for the masked vigilance. The leaves of the arrow are covered with a series of ancient symbols and blood.

The bottom of the poster also shows the show’s title logo and the text “Original series March 30 only at Disney +.”

As mentioned above, the poster dropped the same day that Disney + shared the first trailer Knights of the Moon. The approximately two-minute-long clip depicts Isaacs character struggling to figure out who he really is while dealing with the side effects of his dissociative identity disorder (DID). The clip also gives viewers an extended look at Ethan Hawke’s Dr. Arthur Harrow, who is believed to be the series’ main villain and is shown saying, “It must be very difficult. The voices in your head. There’s chaos in you. Embrace the chaos.”

While Hawke’s role was kept secret until the trailer premiered, the actor previously revealed that his performance was inspired by David Koresh, the leader of the religious cult in Waco, Texas, Branch Davidians. Hawke also admitted last year that Isaac convinced him to participate in the series in the first place, saying at the time: “I like what he does with his life. He reminds me of the actors when I first arrived in New York, as I looked up to. Oscar is younger than me and I like the way he behaves and I like the way he thinks. And generally good things happen when you are in the room with people like you like how they think, right? “

The Marc Spector / Moon Knight character was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin and appeared for the first time in Werewolves at night # 32 in 1975. While Spector was originally portrayed as a Marine who became a mercenary suffering from dissociative identity disorder and became the channel for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, in recent years it has been claimed that Khonshu could actually be another entity created by Spector.

Created by Jeremy Slater, Knights of the Moon premieres March 30 at Disney +.
