Marvel’s Moon Knight Release Date, Trailer and Plot

With the first season of Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight set to hit Disney + Plus in March, we’ve gathered all the latest news about the series.

Based on Marvel comics of the same name, Disney +‘s Knights of the Moon is the latest addition to Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the comics, Moon Knight is Marc Spector, an American mercenary with dissociative identity disorder (DID), who dies in front of a statue of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu and then revived so he can become the “knight of the moon” and protect the innocent. Disney + Knights of the Moon tells a different story from the original comics and has Steven Grant, a man who also has DID, as the main character. Disney + Knights of the Moon also appears to be set in the UK as the trailer shows the entrance to the National Portrait Gallery on Trafalgar Square and Steven Grant has a British accent. That’s what the upcoming series looks like a tempo shift from Marvel’s usual comic book superhero movies and series and promises to bring a darker twist to MCU.

With that in mind, here’s what we know about Knights of the Moon Season 1 so far, including plot, trailer information, cast and cast and release date.

Disney +’s plot Knights of the Moon seems to differ from the origin story of the Marvel cartoon. MarvelIn his synopsis for the show, it reads: “Moon Knight follows Steven Grant, a mildly educated gift shop employee who is plagued by blackouts and reminiscent of another life. Steven discovers that he has dissociative identity disorder and shares equal to mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven / Marc’s enemies gather around them, they must navigate their complex identities as they are thrown into a deadly mystery among Egypt’s powerful gods. “

The trailer for Knights of the Moon Season 1 shows Steven saying that he has a sleep disorder and that he cannot tell the difference between his waking life and dreams, suggesting that he will only discover the true extent of his mental illness later in the season. The Egyptian god Khonshu also appears as a hallucination, emphasizing the severity of Steven’s mental illness and giving the show a darker twist.

Arthur Harrow also appears in the latest Knights of the Moon trailer. Harrow is a doctor from the original Knights of the Moon comics working in pain theory. He has no powers and has trigeminal neuralgia, which has frozen half of his face. Arthur Harrow does not appear to have trigeminal neuralgia and is also a cult leader in the trailer for Knights of the Moon. Actor Ethan Hawke claimed in one Late Night with Seth Meyers interview that his portrayal of the character is based on David Koresh, the cult leader of the Branch Davidians. Although Arthur Harrow canonically is a villain in Knights of the Moon comics, his role in the Disney + series is currently unclear.
