Marvel’s perpetual trailer shows ambitious scale, 3 minute footage

The first Marvel’s Eternities trailer for Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao’s long-awaited film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been released.

The star-studded film will be released on November 5 and features a cast led by Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Kit Harington, Brian Tyree Henry and Richard Madden. The trailer is our best look yet at the upcoming MCU title and shows nearly three minutes of footage.

Based on Jack Kirby’s Marvel comics of the same name, Eternities welcomes an exciting new team of superheroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The epic story, which spans thousands of years, contains a group of immortal heroes who are forced out of the shadows to reunite against humanity’s oldest enemy, The Deviants

The excellent ensemble crew includes Richard Madden as the mighty Ikaris, Gemma Chan as the humanity-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as the cosmically driven Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old soul Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as the remote lonely Druig and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.

Eternities is directed by Chloe Zhao, who comes from winning several awards, including Best Picture and Best Director at the recent Golden Globe and Oscar Awards. It is co-written by Matthew K. Firpo and Ryan Firpo with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige as producer.
