Minutes after Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left the masked monster Michael Myers in a cage and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, in the belief she eventually killed her lifelong tormentor. But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual carnage resumes. While Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires the entire Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first vandalism, who decide to take matters into their own hands and form a vigilant mob that sets out to hunt down Michael once and for all. Evil dies tonight.
The film was directed by David Gordon Green based on a screenplay he wrote with Scott Teems and Danny McBride. An extended section of Halloween kills is expected to receive a digital release on December 13, with a physical media release following January 11, 2022.
