New trailer and poster for Indie Sci-Fi Adventure Thriller PORTAL RUNNER – GeekTyrant

A new trailer and poster has been released for the indie sci-fi adventure thriller Portal Runner. The movie is directed by Cornelia Duryée (The dark horse, Camilla Dickinson) from a manuscript written by Tallis Moore, based on a history of JD Henning. It stars Sloane Morgan Siegel as Nolan, med Carol Roscoe, Brian S. Lewis, Denny McAuliffe, and Elise Eberle.

Here is the synopsis:

15-year-old Nolan (Sloane Morgan Siegel) discovers a secret family legacy and a portal that allows him to travel to parallel worlds. It becomes a nightmare as he realizes that he has been persecuted through the ages by an evil force. When he gets stranded at Christmas in an alternate timeline with his crooked family and a rebellious and mean-spirited big sister. He must create allies and dig deep to destroy the creature – before it destroys him.

This looks like a movie that would have been on the Disney Channel in the 80s or 90s. Super cheesy and low budget, but possibly fun for a kid to watch. It also appears that it may have based its conclusion on the escape plan in Monsters Inc.. Watch the trailer and poster below, and see Portal Runner directly to VOD on December 10th.
