Olivia Munn’s mother knits’ Bernie Sanders’ mittens’ for her newborn baby Malcolm … which she shares with beautiful John Mulaney

Olivia Munn and her boyfriend John Mulaney welcomed their first child together in November after being in public with their romance in May.

And on Thursday, the actress revealed that her mother had hand-knitted a pair of mittens for their newborn son, who were to look like those famously worn by Bernie Sanders at Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2020.

“My mother made Malcolm Bernie Sanders’ mittens,” wrote Munn, who shared a photo of Malcolm rocking his new mittens.

She also included a snap of Bernie for comparison.

Malcom was carried in a sling – apparently fastened to Mulaney’s chest – and wore a cozy gray hat on his head.

Earlier this week, Olivia shared a photo of the newly divorced comedian, 39, planting a kiss on the infant while she, 41, christened their baby ‘den smooshiest smoosh.’

The trio seemed to find themselves at ease in family life, now made easier by the fact that Mulaney and the estranged wife Anna Marie Tendler officially ended their divorce last week.

Mulaney’s beloved father-side was out in full force as he kissed their little son’s neck as he rocked him.

Olivia made sure to point out in her caption that their ‘Christmas tree was still up’, as reflected in the glass doors of the home.

The couple welcomed their son Malcolm on November 24th. She posted the first official snap of the baby on Christmas Eve and called him ‘My Golden Ox baby’.

Two weeks before she gave birth, John reportedly tried to ‘speed up’ his and Tendler’s divorce and even hired new lawyers to help with the process.

It was said that the Big Mouth actor wanted to ‘get the divorce done’ as he was about to become ‘father’ and thus switched to a company known for being ‘tough and efficient’ according to Side Six.

On January 6, it was announced that he and Tendler, 36, were legally divorced after six years of marriage. They had reportedly split up in October 2020, but the news that they were to divorce did not come until May 2021.

Days later, he sparked romance rumors with Munn, and in September, he confirmed they were expecting a baby together. But when Malcolm was born in November, fans were quick to point out that the alleged ‘May’ timeline was not correct.

Amid the drama and secrecy surrounding her pregnancy and their dating timeline, Munn told the LA Times she preferred to keep quiet and focus on their baby.

‘If I try to say something, I risk being called messy or not telling the truth. The only way to win, for me, is to retire and not play the game at all.

‘There’s this vulnerability that I feel makes me want to … just turn it off. I’d rather close the door and just take care of myself and my baby. ‘
