Panthers make two more cuts to get to 80

CHARLOTTE – The Panthers ended this week’s cuts to 80 by parting ways with a couple of defensive linemen.

The team relinquished defensive end Kendall Donnerson and released veteran defensive tackle Caraun Reid on Tuesday. They relinquished wide receiver Krishawn Hogan, defensive tackle Walter Palmore and guard Marquel Harrell on Monday.

With starters scheduled to play a half or less in Friday’s pre-season final against the Steelers, and defensive end Marquis Haynes still recovering with a shoulder problem, that will mean plenty of reps for a declining number of reserves.

They must cut down to the normal season limit of 53 by next Tuesday, August 31st.
