Party Down Revival comes with six of seven stars on the way back

Fans of Fasten down has a reason to, well, party down today, as a revival has been green-lit by Starz, according to Deadline. Fasten down followed a group of catering companies in Los Angeles who are all hoping for their big breakthrough. Each 30-minute episode took place at a new event, confusing the lives of the series ’regular catering companies and a revolving door of partygoers.

This new revival, which comes over ten years after the end of the series, is the result of a reunion held by the cast and crew in 2019. The revival will include much of the original cast, including Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullally. Lizzy Caplanhowever, will not return to resuscitation due to planning conflicts.

In March, was the co-creator of the series Rob Thomas said of a resuscitation: “We were so happy that we wanted to find a way to get the team back together.” Thomas went on to say, “The castes are so busy these days that finding a window where we can do that may require trigonometry, but we’m determined to make it happen.”

The resuscitation is set to be executive produced by Rob Thomas and John Enbom, who created the original series.

The revival will be a limited series of six episodes and will be broadcast on the Starz network. Production is set to begin in January 2022.

No release date has been announced yet. But if you’re impatient to catch up with your favorite catering waiters, the original series is available on the Starz app and Hulu.
