SAN JOSE – A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision Friday night in San Jose, police said.
The traffic collision, which involved two vehicles, was reported at. 20.30 near Center Road and Southside Drive, the San Jose Police Department said in a post on social media.
The pedestrian was driven to the area hospital. An update on their condition was not immediately available.
Police asked people to avoid the area. The traffic on the southbound Sentervej is being diverted while the police conduct an investigation.
Hit-and-run follows two others this week that cost the lives of a pedestrian and a cyclist. The pedestrian was killed Sunday night near South White Road and East Hills Drive, and the cyclist was killed Wednesday night near Queens Lane and Old Bayshore Highway.
Units are currently at the scene of a collision between two vehicles and a pedestrian.
This happened in the area of Center Rd and Southside Dr.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
