Peter Parker begins his return to the Marvel universe as Spider-Man in Fantastic Spider-Man # 87. Recently, Parker was hospitalized and in a coma after a fight that nearly killed him. When Parker was out of service, his clone, Ben Reilly, rose to become the new Spider-Man with the company’s backing from Beyond Coporation. But now Ben has discovered some unpleasant secrets about the Beyond company that have cost him some of his memories. With Ben Reilly focused on Beyond, is this Peter Parker’s chance to regain his mantle as the only Amazing Spider-Man who refers Reilly to the past?
Mabe, but not as fast as he would like. Parker’s first post-coma outing saw him struggle with a couple of street villains. Now he has been summoned to Captain America and Black Cat for help. Can he get back in prime swinging form prior to Fantastic Spider-Manrelaunch? (We’re guessing he’ll make it.)
What do you think of Peter Parker’s return as Spider-Man? Tell us in the comments. Fantastic Spider-Man # 87 goes on sale on Wednesday, January 26th.
