‘Phoenix II’, ‘Marvel Future Fight’, ‘AFK Arena’, ‘Cytus II’ and more – TouchArcade

Hello everyone, and welcome to the year! It’s time again for our look back at the latest notable updates, this time we go back two weeks because I was a lazy bone. As usual, there are not a lot of updates happening around the Christmas and New Year holidays. Developers probably take time off just like all other people. But we have enough to fill out an article, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Of course, you can keep an eye on updates yourself by joining the TouchArcade forums. This weekly summary is only here to fill you in on the things you may have missed. Let’s go for it!

MARVEL Future Fight, Free It came a little later than the other Marvel games, but Marvel Future Fight has its Spider-Man: No Way Home update available. It adds a new one No way home-inspired uniform for Spidey, along with some new cartoon-inspired uniforms for Kingpin and Black Cat. Kingpin gets its Tier-3 / Potential Transcended form added, and some new Dispatch Mission chapters have been added. Go to Sector 11 and Sector 12 to see how much damage you can cause.

MARVEL Realm of Champions, For free

Marvel Realm of Champions also updated in the last few weeks, but its latest version has nothing to do with Spider-Man. Instead, it sees Skaar’s return and you will have to assemble your strongest team to try to take him down. This update also provides some enhancements to Alliance Social, parties, and some UI bits. A few grades have been rebalanced and some bug fixes have been implemented. The usual works, really.

AFK Arena, For free

Away from Keyboard Arena, the best RPG for busy you, is back with yet another update. That means it’s probably new full time. Yes, yes it does. A new Wilder hero, Astar: The Brilliant Flame, is here along with an accompanying Bountiful Trials and test event. There’s also a new game mode called Temporal Rift, a new skin for Saurus: The Risen Warrior, some extra events and balance adjustments. You have to keep things in balance, friends. Like the knife-wielding thing Thanos gave to Gamora.

Mobile Legends: Adventure, Free It’s just as good a time as anyone else to bring in some games we’ve not really looked at before, I suppose. Mobile Legends: Adventure is a popular inactive RPG that is spun out Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. It seems like a fun game if one is into that sort of thing. This update includes a new legendary skin called Thunder Tamer, plus some extra gifts for those who lose money on the game. Perhaps most importantly, there are new chapters in the campaign. You can now play all the way through Chapter 65. Fight on! In a available in a way, of course. Do not exert yourself.

Toon Blast, Free Here is our mandatory free-to-play matching puzzle update for the week. Hi, this is our first mandatory free-to-play matching puzzle update of the year! And it is Toon Blast. Old reliable Toon Blast. When Shaun is looking for games to fill in a sparse list … there you are, Toon Blast. With your fifty new levels. Your theme that may or may not have anything to do with anything in the game itself. Snowy Days, is it? Of course. Lots of snow around these days, that’s a good enough theme. Yup. Our faithful friend, Toon Blast.

Star Traders: Frontiers, $ 6.99 The Trese Brothers do not seem to take time off, even during the holidays. So yes, there is an update for Star Traders: Frontiers. We’re now at the point where most updates to this game address things that are pretty deep in the weeds, and that’s the case here. Some balance adjustments, some UI improvements, a few script adjustments, and some fixes. Many of these changes may be almost invisible to you, but they will provide a smoother and better experience. It’s nice that the developers are still updating the game and publishing detailed notes for these updates. May they and their game live long.

Cytus II, Free When we talk about amazing developers supporting their game far earlier releases with great updates, what about the Rayark? Like many of Rayark’s other games, Cytus II just keeps growing as time goes on. This latest content drop involves a tie-up with Arknights, which brings Amiya to the game complete with ten songs from Arknights soundtrack. You can download the character, her songs, and her story content together as a $ 9.99 IAP. A penny for a song is pretty reasonable, I would say.

Pokémon GO, For free

Pokemon GO may not be the phenomenon it once was, but it’s still going pretty fast. The latest update adds the new postcard book feature, which allows you to save memories from places you or your friends have visited. All you have to do is attach the postcard to your postcard book and it will be there so you can laugh at your old age. Or at least until it’s all shut down. However, I do not think it will last very long.

Angry Birds Dream Blast, Free I’m not sure, but I think this game will also get its best update debut. I can be wrong though. I have trouble telling the different ones Angry birds spin-offs apart. At least this is a winter update. There are some cool winter-themed courses with themed power-ups and a special new avatar you can get. This might have qualified as our mandatory free-to-play matching puzzle update for the week, but I do not know if I really consider this a matching puzzle as much as one popper one. Like Tsum Tsum. Well, a debate for another week.

Phoenix 2, Free This update is a few weeks old now, but it’s so good I really can not just leave it. You will be given three new missions to complete each day, each with a different level of difficulty. You must complete at least one to avoid a degradation, while completing all three will give you a promotion. Achieve a high enough rank and some specialist missions will be available to you. Apart from that, four new ships have been added to the game. It yields sweet hundred ships in all, which is wild. Other than that, there are only a few fixes and tweaks. It will do to serve the very first coveted UMMSotW the price for 2022.

It concludes it with last week’s important updates. I’m sure I’ve missed some, so feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think something should be mentioned. As usual, major updates are likely to get their own news this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to summarize and fill in the blanks. Have a nice week!
