Power, Cindric calls karting event in NC

With a relatively quiet weekend of racing in front of major North American pro series, a karting event in North Carolina with the expected unsurpassed commentary from Team Penske IndyCar driver Will Power and Penske NASCAR driver Austin Cindric has risen to fill the void. Veteran karting commentators Xander Clements and Caleb Smock will also call the races.

The inaugural IAME USA Grand National Championship will be held at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville from Thursday to Sunday with three different track configurations awaiting the seven classes.

Among the contestants are NASCAR champion Kevin Harwick’s son Keelan and Oliver and Sebastian Wheldon, sons of the late IndyCar champion and double indy 500 winner Dan Wheldon, among more than 100 kart drivers of all ages who have traveled across the country fighting for $ 20,000 in cash and prizes.
