For the second year in a row, the Prince Albert Santa Claus Parade will not take place this holiday season.
Last year, the parade was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, however, the event hosted by the Prince Albert Downtown Business Improvement District was canceled for another reason.
The parade was originally scheduled to go on Saturday.
“Our CEO resigned and so no one has been hired to fill the position,” said Stacy Coburn, president of the Downtown Business Improvement District. “We have reached out to a few different people and different organizations so that they could host the parade, and no one had time in their schedules at such short notice to get the parade organized this year.”
