Regé-Jean Page’s MCU Future looks promising after the Adam Warlock Audition

After landing on the shortlist for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’s Adam Warlock, Regé-Jean Page may be considered for a Marvel role in the future.

After being considered for the role of Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Regé-Jean Page is likely to have a promising future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Adam Warlock was originally mentioned in the middle of the credit scene by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, when Ayesha, the golden high priestess of the sovereign, wanted to create a creature that could finally defeat the ragtag hero team. In the following years, many names are attached to the character, including Zac Efron and Garrett Hedlund. Finally, the news broke – confirmed by director James Gunn himself – that Will Poulter has been cast to play Adam Warlock. Despite this revelation, however, it does not necessarily mean that Side’s involvement in the MCU is over.

After portraying Eustace Scrubb in the fantasy film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Dawn Treader’s Voyage, Will Poulter then continued in the crime we are the Millers, the film series Maze Runnerand the interactive film Bandersnatch from the anthology series Black mirror. When his casting as Adam Warlock was announced, another report revealed that the role was in demand for more young actors and that Marvel has been casting for the past few months. Although there was no official list of auditors released, there were among the actors who were allegedly in the last race 1917is George MacKay and Bridgerton‘s Regé-Jean Page.

Despite Page eventually losing Poulter, his future in the comics industry looks positive, especially as Marvel has a history of reusing actors who have tried a different role. After all, with the scope of the MCU, the study is extremely selective about who gets to embody their iconic characters. The fact that Regé-Jean Page was considered a role that has been around for many years means that he is now on Marvel’s radar and will definitely be considered in upcoming projects. Maybe the studio will even find ways to work with him. Needless to say, auditioning – or just being considered – for a role in MCU can already have a significant impact on any actor’s career.

For example, Chris Pratt, who at the time was still a part of Parks and recreation, originally auditioned for Captain America. Chris Evans eventually landed the part, but Pratt’s audition led him to meet Marvel’s casting director Sarah Finn, who eventually recommended him to his Guardians of the Galaxy lead role. Similarly, the late Chadwick Boseman went to an audition for Drax. Sarah Finn also remembered that Boseman exudes elegance and dignity when he tried his hand at the part, but this portrayal was far from the nature of Drax. More than a year later, when the pre-production to Captain America: Civil War started, Boseman was immediately called in to play the role of the king. Although it may have been difficult to see anyone other than Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, he first tried to audition for the role of Sam Wilson / Falcon. It was obvious that Anthony Mackie had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle Black Pantheris a well-received antagonist.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe ushers in a new phase involving multiverses and alternate timelines, there is no guidance on which characters will be introduced. As dozens of Marvel projects are still under development, Regé-Jean Page remains a strong casting choice, especially after his Adam Warlock audition. Although it may be too late for a performance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the future still looks bright for one of Britain’s leading young actors.
