Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell swap appearances on the talk show late at night

Ryan Reynolds always has fun promoting his films, and this time, Will Ferrell was with. The two actors who will participate in the upcoming musical with a Christmas theme Spirited, appeared in talk shows on behalf of each other. While Reynolds came by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where Ferrell was originally reserved, the Anchor star appeared at Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he filled out for Reynolds.

Both segments unfolded as parallel pieces, with Reynolds joking that he had “just put the kids to bed” and walking with the dog when Ferrell called and said he was running a little too late and whether Reynolds could “jump in for ham. ” He joked, “I’m just as disgusted as you are with these plastic, playboy Hollywood prima donnas who think they can have a talk show performance and just not show up.”

Onto Jimmy Kimmel Live! Ferrell made a show for the audience. He said as he sat down next to the host:

“Ryan could not handle it. I got a text message from him that he is about to be late, which usually means he does not show up. So he asked if I would fill in and I just rolled down the hill, for I live near the magic castle. I live in the magic castle. I have always had en suite rooms there. ”

Ferrell then proceeded to perform a false magic trick for Kimmel, where he asked him a few random questions and pulled a watch out of his pocket. “Is this your watch?” he asked, not sounding very convinced. It was not. Ferrell pulled another out. Nor was it. It happened one more time before Kimmel told him he was not even wearing a watch.

As a good replacement, Ferrell then joined Reynolds’ new film Red message. He admitted, however, that he had not seen a second of it. But what a cast! “Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Gal Gadot, hubba hubba, “he said, adding that the film will definitely be” classy “because billboards showed the main cast wearing tuxedos.

Now Ferrell is fully committed to introducing a clip: “This is where they talk to each other?”

After they returned, Kimmel joked that when he had no idea he wanted to talk to Ferrell, he had no questions for him. But could he ask him the questions he had put together for Reynolds? Ferrell said they might as well continue as he had nothing better to do. But the actor was shocked by Kimmel’s first question: “How is your beautiful wife? Blake Lively? ” Too late to return now, soldiers Ferrell went on to talk a lot about not just Lively, but also their “three girls.”

The segment ended exactly as you would expect, with Ferrell rapping nonsense in fake French. But this switcheroo was not entirely coincidental. In addition to participating in what was basically a very far-sighted piece of promotion for Spirited, Ferrell will star in the new Apple TV + series The Shrink Next Door, which is released the same day as Netflix Red message– 12th November.
