Park Seo-joon appears in an upcoming Marvel Studios movie and left South Korea on Friday to begin filming, the actor’s agency said.
News of Park’s attack on the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes shortly after the release of Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten ringswith Simu Liu in the lead role, Marvel’s first film with an Asian superhero.
IN a post on its site, Awesome ENT thanked fans for showing interest in Park’s new role and said the film’s name and character would be announced at a later date.
But more business has speculated that Park will show up in The Marvels, an upcoming sequel to the box office success in 2019 Captain Marvel, with Brie Larson in the lead role.
The Marvels, directed by Nia DaCosta, is scheduled to be released in November 2022.
Park appeared in the smash hit in 2019 Parasite as Min, a college student who gives up his English tutor job to one of the film’s main characters.
According to Korea Herald, Park er well known to international Korean drama fans for his roles in several television romantic comedies, including What’s wrong with Secretary Kim? and Itaewon class.
