Stacey Solomon has welcomed a new furry friend into her family just weeks after her 11-year-old dog Theo died.

The Loose Women star introduced her loyal legion of fans to her new family member on social media after her young children fell in love with the spaniel at a rehousing center.

The 32-year-old explained how they named the golden puppy, the adorable Teddy, happily fitted into the family home after their dachshund Peanut fell in love with his furry friend after the death of their family pet.

She revealed how her elderly dog ​​died in her arms shortly after Christmas, leaving her and her family completely devastated.

She wrote: “Welcome home Teddy. Last night we rescued a dog. But today I’m not sure who saved who. We miss you so much Theo.

“I hope you smile down from the sky, knowing that the peanut will no longer be so much lonely and that a dog that really needed a family now has one. To the moon and back, always.”

After the morning run, Stacey shared an adorable montage of the first few hours after they welcomed him home.

The sanctuary sits under the sprawling magnolia tree in the backyard of her 1.2-million-pound Essex home.

In her long story she wrote: “Have talked to the incredible lady at the dog rescue all day and now we are off on a little adventure late at night to meet a little furry baby who is in care and needs a home and our home and family.would be a good match.
