Standards and Practices Coordinator – HigherEdJobs


Provides leadership of the organization’s risk management initiatives. Oversees and ensures compliance with national standards and
policies. Oversees the disciplinary process.

Reports To: Executive Director
Status:
Regular, full-time, exempt
Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer two+ years
professional experience in higher education or educational leadership preferred, strong ambition with the ability to take initiative, be
creative and work independently, ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects in an environment of change, excellent
written and verbal communication skills, ability and willingness to travel periodically
Performance Evaluations:
Annually unless otherwise outlined in the Human Resources Manual

ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:

1. Create and implement all aspects of the risk management programming
Such as:

a. Create, deliver and maintain risk prevention/awareness (e.g. financial, reputational, physical, etc.)
curriculum for all constituents (including Members and volunteers)

b. Create and facilitate
Fraternity-wide hazing prevention educational and programming efforts

c. Maintain log of all national
risk management delivered trainings, newsletters, communications, Membership Agreement records, etc.

2. Correspond with
insurance broker

Such as:

a. Notify the insurance brokers when there are Chapter status
changes (i.e. active or inactive)

b. Serve as point of contact to receive and approve Certificate of
Insurance requests as needed

3. Provide support for policy and Chapter standards compliance
Such as:

a. Guide the Chapter Standards of Excellence and serve as a resource for the Volunteers that support the
program

b. Oversee Chapter education of and compliance with governing documents

4.
Serve as lead for initial inquiries and administrative support of the disciplinary (student conduct) process

Such as;

a. Receive and respond to complaints against Members and Chapters

b.
Ensure adherence to the governing sanction process and manage the administrative process, including coordinate outsourced investigations and
appeals, prepare reports and communications to all involved

c. Restore fully disciplined Chapters
through, but not limited to; membership reviews, implementation of approved local policy(ies) and Member/Officer recruitment, selection and
onsite training and ceremonies

5. Other duties as assigned
