In 2019, Amy revealed that she had hidden a secret battle with Crohns, where the star spoke out for the first time so she could help others suffering from the disease.

Speaking in an candid interview with Hello! the magazine insisted the dancer that she ‘does not want any sympathy’, emphasizing that her condition does not ‘define’ her.

She opened up about why she chose to keep her condition from the Strictly crew, saying, ‘When I got my job at Strictly Come Dancing, I did not want to be known as’ Amy with Crohn’s.

‘I first wanted to establish myself as’ Amy the dancer’. But I’ve played two seasons in the program now, and I think it’s important to say no. ‘

The professional dancer remembered an incident during her tour on Here Come The Girls, where she threw up between dances.
