Yes, it’s the same as the iconic 1976 sci-fi movie starring David Bowie, also titled The man who fell to the ground. They re-adapt the novel on which the film was based, written by Walter Tevis and first published in 1963. The log for this: “An alien who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future . ” The much awaited upcoming original sci-fi drama series The man who fell to the ground – with Oscar & Emmy nominees and BAFTA award winners in the lead role Chiwetel Ejiofor – gets exclusive premiere on Showitme in 2022. Naomi Harris will also play the role of Justin Falls, an ingenious scientist and engineer who must conquer his own demons in the race to save two worlds. The cast also includes Jimmi Simpson, Rob Delaney, and Sonya Cassidy. This is only a first look teaser without many footage, but I’m fascinated. So far, so good.
