Trailer for a story about the police and the robbers

“A story the NYPD does not want you to see.” Greenwich Ent. has debuted an official trailer for A police and robbery story, a burning documentary by Romanian filmmaker Ilinca Calugareanu. This one originally premiered at the 2020 DOC NYC Film Festival last year, and it finally opens in January 2022. In the 1980s, Corey Pegues found himself embroiled in a life of crime as a member of New York’s infamous “Supreme Team” gang. A near-death incident forces Pegues off the streets, but later he unexpectedly shows up as a rising star in the NYPD, his past unknown to his officers. A decorated 21-year-old political career is threatened when his political views and revelations about his past life create strife in the police environment. This sounds like a VERY important document for the time we live in, but I also doubt it will make the NYPD solve their problems. it’s just a story about how dirty and careful they can be. Take a look.
