The new Doctor Strange 2 leak is about Avengers, and it comes straight from Marvel

Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness will feature cameos even more ambitious in scope than Spider-Man: No Way Home. That assumes all the latest cameo leaks fall out. We already expect to see some of MCU’s Avengers in Doctor Strange 2. These are the characters that Marvel has already confirmed for the film. Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Wong (Benedict Wong) are all Avengers. America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) is a future Avengers team member who will also star in the film. But on top of that, we will see lots of Avengers from the multiverse, including new variations of the characters we know and love.

We do not expect Marvel to confirm any of the huge cameos before the film’s release. After all, Marvel held up great No way home secret surprises when they advertise the film, even though everyone knew the former Spider-Man actors were coming back. But Marvel is apparently ready to troll fans with a teaser that suggests more Avengers of the multiverse will appear in Doctor Strange successor.

Be aware, Multiverse of madness spoilers follow below.

Why Doctor Strange Needs More Avengers

We’ve already talked about the various alternative Avengers teams we can look into Multiverse of madness. Rumor has it that the Illuminati from another reality will appear in the film. The same goes for Defenders, Fantastic Four, X-Men and Inhumans.

Doctor Strange from the primary MCU reality will encounter these alternate superheroes. And leaks say he will form his own Avengers team to take up the fight against the film’s big villain. It’s still Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen), according to most leaks. A darker force, however, may be by manipulating Scarlet Witch to become this violent antagonist.

We already know from WandaVision that the Scarlet Witch can become even stronger than the Sorcerer Supreme. That’s why Strange needs all the help he can get to overcome this challenge.

Wanda is still overwhelmed with grief after the events in Westview. And this time, it’s not just about losing Vision (Paul Bettany). She also believes that her imaginary children are calling for her help. All of this will make Wanda a formidable opponent.

That implies Doctor Strange 2 plot leaks are accurate. After all, the film’s first trailer suggests that another character is the villain of the story. It’s very much in line with Marvel’s way of twisting reality in its trailers.

Marvel is new Multiverse of madness merch

But Disney and Marvel also want to sell merchandise based on movies, among others Doctor Strange 2. And it just so happens that Marvel is selling a “Marvel Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness Avengers Logo Premium T-Shirt “product on Amazon.

The special thing about this t-shirt is the description. That’s where Marvel trolls fans with Avengers teasers Doctor Strange 2 – highlight our:

Experience Doctor Stephen Strange in a whole new thought-provoking adventure with Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. This Avengers t-shirt showcases The Avengers logo for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, which may just be from a whole new multiverse.

Marvel phrases this description in such a way that it can always refuse to confirm anyone Doctor Strange 2 cameos. The Avengers i Multiverse of madness “may be from a whole new multiverse.” Again, at least three Avengers in the film come from MCU’s primary reality – Strange, Wong and Wanda.

That’s why the teaser works, and why Marvel does not really have to worry about ruining Doctor Strange 2 with these Avengers t-shirts. If anything, the teaser plays right into the expectations of MCU fans. We would assume that a multiverse movie would contain alternative Avengers, even without the leak. We learned just as much in What if…? where we saw an exciting Guardians of the Multiverse team.

Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness coming to the cinema on May 6th. But we’ll probably see lots of Avengers cameo leaks before then.
